Officials at the center say the bird died on Friday
GLADSTONE -- We told you last week about a rescued eagle that was recovering at the Upper Michigan Raptor Center in Gladstone.
Officials at the center say the bird died on Friday.
Lake, the eagle, so named because of where he was found, had the West Nile Virus. The bird was unable to be revived after experiencing several close calls during its recovery.
According to the officials at the Raptor Center, the bird continued to get weaker and weaker and was eventually put on an IV medication.
The animal rehabilitation center is currently taking care of 16 other birds.
