YMCA offers program starting July 28
MARQUETTE -- There's a new form of yoga catching on at the YMCA of Marquette County. It's called Partner Yoga. The exercise is only about four or five years old, and it's very different from traditional yoga, which focuses more on breathing and individual concentration.
The "Y" says it's great for everyone...good for beginners who need a little encouragement as well as pros who want to increase the intensity of their yoga workout.
"It is the fun part of yoga; it's where two people interact. You can deepen your practice, you can have fun with it, you can get a better stretch, you can get better strength. Working with somebody else is just a good way to have a good time," said YMCA Yoga Instructor, Bob Wiesmann.
The YMCA's six-week Partner Yoga program kicks off Wednesday July 28, and will be held each Wednesday from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
