David Hesch will appear in Denver court
DENVER, CO (AP) -- A Colorado man accused of threatening to harm Michigan U.S. Rep. Bart Stupak and his family because of his vote for the recently passed health care bill will be in Denver federal court to determine his bond.
Federal prosecutors say the Thursday hearing for Loveland resident David Hesch is also to decide whether he should be transferred to Michigan to face charges in the case.
The FBI says someone mailed a letter to Stupak threatening to paint the Mackinac Bridge with blood from the congressman and his family.
Hesch's father, Russell Hesch, was also arrested in the case and was released with an electronic monitor after a hearing Wednesday in Bay City, Mich. The elder Hesch can't travel outside Michigan.
