Over 75 volunteers are expected to help restore the Augie Fudala Barn in Bark River
BARK RIVER -- Restoration on the U.P. barn that was one of five nationwide winners of the Campbell's Soup Company's "Help Grow Your Soup" program will finally begin Thursday morning.
Over 75 volunteers, including over 50 FFA students, are expected to help restore the Augie Fudala Barn in Bark River.
Back in January, votes came in from 20 different states to make this barn one of five others to be preserved through the Campbell's Soup program.
Officials say they have big plans, from replacing all the wood paneling to painting the entire building.
"We'd love to have volunteers come out. We'd actually love for you to bring your own hammers, bring some tape measures, bring any equipment that you possibly could. Even if you have your own paint brushes, bring it on out! We'd love to have the help," said Lucy Whitehead, FFA Program Manager.
They plan to start the project Thursday morning at 8 a.m.
