Troop 5015 moves girls on up
MARQUETTE -- It was a special day Monday for a group of Marquette Girl Scouts. That's because six girls from Troop 5015 walked the bridge from Daisie to Brownie. They get to move on once they complete tasks, like a field trip and a service project.
Girl Scouts is meant to help girls build character and skills for success in the real world.
"I hope to be great, a great big helper," said new Brownie, Mariah Fortin.
"What I like about helping people is so they can stay alive and healthy," added fellow Brownie, Issy Loftin.
Girls also handed out Daisies to one person that helped them become a Brownie, as a way to say thank you.
