But many Americans are still confused as to what exactly it entails
MARQUETTE -- It's been a few months since President Obama passed his health care reform bill.
But many Americans are still confused as to what exactly it entails.
Community members had the chance to have some of those questions answered at a health care reform panel session. The Presbyterian Church of Marquette hosted the event, which featured presentations by area doctors.
Guests learned about the history of health care and the provisions of the new reform.
Organizers say they felt it was important to get concerns addressed.
"I think there are just so many different dimensions to the bill, and that in itself just frightens some people, and there's a need to see how all of these different things fit together and how will they be phased in over a number of years," says moderator Bob Kulischeck.
Attendees also had the chance to participate in a question and answer session following the discussion.
