MARQUETTE -- Publishers and authors from all over the region came together Saturday afternoon for the 12th annual Upper Peninsula Publishers and Authors Association Conference.
The day was filled with sessions, featuring guest speakers, on a variety of topics.
Attendees learned about the aspects of self-publishing, how to make money as an author, and ways to enhance their writing style. Authors also caught a taste of how to keep up with technology.
Marvin Szukalowski, author of A Simple Man's Psychology, said, "The things that I've learned the most is probably e-books; using electronic books through Amazon and other voids. Apple, other electronic books, how their market is just increasing by versus just by selling by normal paperbacks like we normally do or hardcover."
The publishers conference is held every spring.
