Police arrested a Faithorn man and charged him with felonious assault

MENOMINEE COUNTY -- A suspect is jailed after an assault incident in Menominee County.

According to the State Police, Stephenson Post, it happened Sunday in Faithorn Township.

Two men were fishing on a stream when they had an altercation with a woman.  As they were leaving the area, the victims were looking for an address so they could file a complaint with police, when a man came out of the house and pointed a rifle at them.

After investigating the situation, police arrested a Faithorn man and charged him with felonious assault.  An additional charge of angler harassment is pending.

The man's name is being withheld pending arraignment.
