Brady has been on the Escanaba City Council for almost two-and-a-half years
ESCANABA -- An Escanaba City Council member is looking to become the next state representative for the 108th District.
Monday, Escanaba resident Brady Nelson announced his plans to run on the Republican ticket for the 108th, currently held by Democrat Judy Nerat.
Brady has been on the Escanaba City Council for almost two-and-a-half years. He says one of his main goals is to make change and better both the business and job market throughout the area.
"Michigan has such a poor economic climate...think a lot of that relates to the state's actions that we've taken, becoming anti-business as it has. We're one of the worst states to do business in, and it's impacted our labor market up here dramatically," said Brady Nelson, 108th candidate.
Tuesday is the filing deadline for candidates looking to run for a political office.
