Here's a look at what we're working on for tonight's news.

An Ontonagon jury returns a not guilty verdict in the case of Stefan Savage. He's the man accused of raping a 17 year old female. TV6's Houghton Hancock Bureau reporter Ashley Palumbo was in court when the verdict was announced. Her story tonight on your TV6 Early News.

The Ishpeming School District is looking to expand the Birchview Elementary School and in the process, close the Phelps Middle School. It's a move to save the district money and secure its future. He's a naturalized American citizen, but was born and raised in Iraq. Today Abu Noor, or J.R. calls Upper Michigan home. But his story goes beyond just being an American citizen.
