Raising money for senior party

QUINNESEC -- Norway students seem to have found the right kind of customers to sell lunches to.

Monday, the students set up a lunch station at Verso Paper in Quinnesec, serving brats, chips, and desserts to the employees.

The lunch helped raise money for the school's Senior All Night Party.  They made more than $1,100 during the lunch.

Verso is giving several local schools a chance to raise money at the plant during lunch all this week.

"It's been a huge help because everyone that's donated money; that means more profit for us, and just to be able to come here and actually serve lunch and for them to be nice enough to donate the place because that's huge for people to be aware about it and come and eat lunch here," said Norway student, Josh Demars.

The lunch program during the Verso mill outage has taken place since 2003.

Other schools, like Kingsford, Niagara, and Florence, will have similar programs at the mill this week.
