MARQUETTE -- Allow the easement or pay for the electric lines to be rerouted.  Those were the options for Tom Baldwin, the owner of Granot Loma, when it came to new electric lines being put in by the Alger Delta Electric Co-op.

The deadline for the decision is Tuesday.

He will allow power poles to be placed on his land.

Baldwin had tried to stop the Alger Delta Co-op from using his property on County Road 550, unless he was paid for it.

In March, Marquette County Circuit Judge Thomas Solka ruled Baldwin had to either allow the easement on his property or pay the cost of going around.

Baldwin says that after the judge's ruling, he really had no choice.
