This is a day when the faithful will confess their sins and receive communion with the belief that they will receive complete forgiveness of sins and punishment

MARQUETTE, MI -- Just a week after Easter, Catholics will be celebrating another important day of faith.

This Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday.  This is a day when the faithful will confess their sins and receive communion with the belief that they will receive complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.

Father George Kosicki, who has written over thirty books on the subject, will be speaking at St. Peters Cathedral, April 11.  It will be a day for the faithful to be reminded of God's mercy.

"We'll have time for prayer, Eucharistic adoration, a rosary, a chaplet of divine mercy," said Father Michael Steber, St. Peter's Cathedral.

Eight priests will also be hearing confession at St. Peters Cathedral on Divine Mercy.
