To address the fact that they have been working without a contract since the end of 2009

ISHPEMING -- Ishpeming City employees are rallying at Wednesday's City Council meeting to address the fact that they have been working without a contract since the end of 2009.

In March, they picketed outside City Hall to get a new contract with fair wages and fair health care.

Since the city has not done anything, the local American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, or AFSCME, hope their presence at the council meeting will give them what they want.
