Escanaba fire undetermined cause

The Fire Marshall was called in to investigate the cause Tuesday morning

ESCANABA TOWNSHIP -- The cause of the fire that destroyed a home and two garages in Escanaba Township Monday has been labeled undetermined.

The Fire Marshall was called in to investigate the cause Tuesday morning.

Officials believe the fire started in a detached garage and then spread to a home on Blacksmith, 21.5 Lane. Firefighters were on the scene for over three-and-a-half hours.

The home is considered a total loss.

Luckily, no one was injured in the blaze.
