Pros from across Midwest turn out to grind the rails
MARQUETTE -- Skiers and snowboarders turned out from across the Midwest for the seventh annual Super Park at Marquette Mountain on Saturday.
This year's event adopted the theme of the Wild West and was aptly named the Mid "Wild West" Super Park.
Those participating dressed in cowboy attire and were served baked beans and bacon. And even though the snow was melting with warm conditions, pros still showed up to the event to celebrate the season's close.
"Midwest Super Park has been an annual event for seven years, ever since we've decided to have an entire Midwest-wide event to just try to bring the best of the best together for kind of an end of the season thing," said Event Coordinator, Brandon Croney. "The weather's definitely played a part this year, but we were able to pull it off."
Olympian Nick Baumgartner won the 60-foot big air jump.
Saturday was the last day of the season at Marquette Mountain.
