Three federal agencies have raised possible objections to Woodland Road.
MARQUETTE -- Just when you thought Kennecott Minerals was in the clear to build its controversial nickel and copper mine, now there may be a new obstacle.
Three federal agencies have raised possible objections to Woodland Road, the new 22-mile route that Kennecott wants to build with a few other companies.
The road would allow Kennecott to transport iron ore directly from the mine to rock processors in Humboldt.
The concerns deal with wetlands in the area.
The DNRE must now respond to the objections.
