More than 100 photos were shown to explain how the street car was used
MARQUETTE -- Area residents took a trip back in time Thursday afternoon for one of many street car presentations.
The Marquette County History Museum visited the Messiah Lutheran Church to speak on the history of the Marquette street car.
More than 100 photos were shown to explain how the street car was used, how it effected residents, and how it was used in the town.
The museum hopes Thursday's presentation would recall fond memories for the attendees.
"I hope that people are reminded maybe if some of the people that are here lived in the 1930s before the streetcar was dismantled that they're reminded of a certain time in marquette but also they are reminded to tell their children, their grandchildren, this is what I can tell you about your history," said Tina Harris, Museum Educator.
The next presentation will be given for children at the Aspen Ridge Elementary School.
