The City Council met Wednesday morning at City Hall to discuss their plan of attack
NEGAUNEE -- The search for a new Negaunee city manager is now underway.
The City Council met Wednesday morning at City Hall to discuss their plan of attack, and they are considering hiring some help.
The council witnessed a presentation by the Michigan Municipal League, a non-profit organization that facilitates and helps with local government and management searches, who they may hire.
"Well the non profit organization providing this service will actually be a more cost efficient way of doing it because they only charge for their services, they're not in it for profit, and you will actually get a lower fee and a better search because they are in the business of providing managers to different cities and villages," said Paul Gravedon, Negaunee Mayor.
Although they liked what they heard at the presentation, the council also wants to consider using a private search organization, and conducting the search themselves.
