Marquette has been looking for a new City Manager since December

MARQUETTE -- Applicants for the job of Marquette City Manager has been narrowed down to three.

City Commissioners will begin interviewing John McIntyre of Orlanda Hills, Illinois, William Vajda of Rockville, Maryland and Donald Carlsen of Naperville, Illinois next week.

Marquette has been looking for a new City Manager since December, when Judy Akkala announced her retirement from the position.

Her retirement became official in January, and Police Chief Mike Angeli has been handling the duties since then.

Interviews start at on Tuesday, March 30th, in commission chambers.
