"there's a principle we do not want to cross"
Congressman Bart Stupak, the leader of a dozen anti-abortion democrats, says his group remains committed to opposing the health care overhaul the house is likely to vote on Saturday.
Friday morning, he said he wants to pass health care but, he says, "there's a principle we do not want to cross."
He says the anti-abortion democrats will oppose the current bill unless the language is toughened in restricting federal dollars for abortion.
Stupak says a health care bill that ensures no federal money would go toward abortion would "probably get our vote."
