CHARLEVOIX -- Congressman Bart Stupak will now have an opponent in the August primary.
Connie Saltonstall of Charlevoix announced Wednesday that she will challenge Stupak for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Representative.
This week, supporters of Saltonstall launched a petition to collect the 1,000 signatures required to place her name on the August primary ballot.
Saltonstall said one of her top priorities is to work for affordable, accessible health care for all Americans.
