ESCANABA -- OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba has recently made a name for itself nationally for providing perfect surgical care.
The hospital was ranked near the top 10 percent out of over 3,700 hospitals in the country. That is according to a national Web site that allows health care organizations to compare their performance.
The measurement process scores hospitals on preventing post operation infections to administering antibiotics properly and timely.
"To have OSF in the top 15 percent takes a community of all caregivers to get us there. It's not only surgery, but it's the surgeons, it's the medical surgery floor, it's the ambulatory care, it's pharmacy," said Becky Silva, Manager of Surgical Services.
