MANISTIQUE TOWNSHIP -- US-2 in Schoolcraft County was closed for several hours Tuesday morning after a logging truck lost part of its load.

The Michigan State Police say that it happened at 6:45 a.m. in Manistique Township.

The truck, driven by Daniel Lalonde of Rapid River, hit the guard rail, causing the logs to fall off the truck.

The highway was closed for about an hour for clean up.
