The Marquette Rotary Club hosts the event every year.
MARQUETTE -- Marquette community members enjoyed a pancake breakfast for a good cause Sunday.
The annual fund-raiser is one of the Marquette Rotary Club's major events of the year and is always held on Super Bowl Sunday.
Last year, the club raised more than $14,000 from the breakfast alone and were on track to raise close to the same amount this year as well.
President Rich Tegge said, "We're able to give back annually between $30,000 and $40,000 to the community. We've got a great group of Rotarians, very civic-minded individuals; they give back to the community through these types of events, and luckily the community embraces them, and we've had a lot of success."
In the past 24 years that the club has been holding this event, they've been able to give more than $215,000 back to the community.
Some of the local organizations that benefit from funds raised by the Marquette Rotary Club are the Boy Scouts, Bay Cliff, and the Y.M.C.A.
