CHOCOLAY TWP. -- The Chocolay Township Police Department is urging residents to keep their doors locked and their eyes open.

Authorities are reporting a series of break-ins that have taken place along County Road 480 in Chocolay Township throughout the past week.

Chief Greg Zyburt said the two break-ins Sunday are unusual because they took place in the daylight, between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  The two homes broken into Sunday are within a half mile of each other.

Chief Zyburt also said right now, those incidents are being linked to two other break-ins that occured last Sunday along M-28.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Chocolay Township Police Department at (906) 249-4040.
