Whiteouts mixed with sunshine

Cars slowed, with some turning their flashers on.

ALGER COUNTY -- Blowing snow in Alger County made for only a few feet of visibility on M-94 Thursday afternoon.

Cars slowed, with some turning their flashers on.

Besides blowing, the snow kept falling, all while the sun shone behind the flurries.

One good note about that snow...the air was warmer there than a few miles away in Rumley, where the blue skies weren't enough to warm up the beautiful scene along M-94.
