Two men busted in alleged break-ins

According to Ironwood Public Safety, two patrol officers came upon a break-in in progress at Range Flour and Feed Store on Douglas Avenue.

IRONWOOD -- Two suspects are in custody in the western U.P. for allegedly breaking into buildings.

According to Ironwood Public Safety, two patrol officers came upon a break-in in progress at Range Flour and Feed Store on Douglas Avenue.

They apprehended the two suspects.

Further investigation of the suspects' vehicle and residence led to the recovery of stolen items from other car and building burglaries.

The two men, ages 18 and 20, are lodged in the Gogebic County Jail, with bond set at $100,000 each.

As the investigation continues, authorities feel that further charges against the suspects are probable.
