MARQUETTE -- It was all about having fun and eating great food Sunday night in Marquette.

The ninth Annual Culinary Journey fund-raiser was held at the U.P. Children's Museum.

Guests sampled a variety of cuisines from area vendors such as the Landmark Inn, Donckers, The Midtown Bakery, and Coco's.

The event usually draws well over 200 people, and it's a great way to get them into the museum.

"It's kind of nice because you can have people who don't normally come to the Children's Museum because they don't have small children; they can come to the children's museum and they can see, one, how cool the children's museum is, but also, two, they can see how the Children's Museum can be transformed for other kinds of parties and events," said Museum Director Nheena Weyer-Ittner.

Organizers say they were hoping to raise more than $10,000 from the event.
