MARQUETTE -- Jacobetti Home for Veterans is working with a tight budget. This year they received a six percent funding cut from the state.
Tuesday, American Legion leaders were checking up on the facilities at the Jacobetti Home in Marquette. It also gave the leaders a chance to show their support for the veterans.
"The support of veterans out in the community is very important to the veterans who live here at the home," said Brad Slagle, Administrator at Jacobetti. "It is part of what keeps us going; the volunteers who come here and the political support we get from the organizations is very important to the existence of the home.
American Legion leaders also stopped in Iron Mountain to tour the VA hospital.
