This weekend, Negaunee will host the annual festivities for the the 15th year of the Finnish snow god.

NEGAUNEE -- Heikki Lunta is staying true to his word this year with plenty of snow to celebrate.

This weekend, Negaunee will host the annual festivities for the the 15th year of the Finnish snow god.

The event will feature the annual fishing derby, fireworks, blooper ball competition, bonfire, Eagle's breakfast, and the Keski-Talven Juhlat.

"We want to promote getting out more with family events and things like that no matter what time of year it is," said Don Gladwell, President of the Negaunee Irontown Association.
