False report of robbery lands jail time

Twenty-three-year-old Marlena Dee Navarez was convicted of larceny and filing a false report.

MUNISING -- The Citgo gas station employee in Munising who claimed she was robbed of a night deposit bag almost a year ago, will be spending the next five months in jail.

Twenty-three-year-old Marlena Dee Navarez was convicted of larceny and filing a false report.

She was actually sentenced to 12 months on one of the charges, but seven months of the sentence was deferred.

Navarez was also sentenced to 24 months probation.
