MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- A Baraga teen is being held at the Marquette County youth home after allegedly stealing a car.

According to the Marquette County Sheriff's Department, the girl narrowly missed a marked sheriff's department car as she was pulling out of a business in Marquette Township.

After pulling her over, the deputy found that the 16 year old did not have a license, and that the car was not hers.  The owner of the car had left it unattended and with the keys inside.

No damage was done to the car, and nothing was missing from inside.

The matter has been handed over to the Marquette County Probate Court, where criminal charges against the girl may be issued.
