Dinner has been held each year for four years.
ISHPEMING -- A Christmas day tradition continued this afternoon in Ishpeming. The Bell Foundation and the Ishpeming Elks Club teamed up to host their annual community Christmas dinner.
Holiday favorites were on the menu, and for those in a rush, takeout was available. More than 20 volunteers gave up spending time with their family to spread holiday cheer to others.
"I like to give back. I feel really lucky to have my friends and family with me on the holidays, and so it's nice to be able to give back to the community and it's fun to just talk to people and share Christmas with everybody," said volunteer Emily Edwards.
This is the fourth year the dinner has been hosted. Organizers were expecting to serve more than 200 people this afternoon.
