Firefighters were called out around 3:00 in the morning to 245 Silver Creek Road in Harvey.
HARVEY -- Quick action Thursday morning by firefighters contained a blaze at a home in Harvey.
Firefighters were called out around 3 a.m. in the morning to 245 Silver Creek Road in Harvey.
According to authorities, the blaze appears to have started in a bedroom. Crews were able to keep it contained to that room and the attic. The rest of house suffered heavy water and smoke damage.
One resident received lacerations to his arm and was treated at Marquette General Hospital.
The state fire investigator will be on the scene Thursday to continue looking into the blaze. Early indications are that the fire is not suspicious in nature.
