With 19 or more inches of snow, skiers can now ski on the Noquemanon system.

MARQUETTE COUNTY -- The Noquemanon Trail System is now open.

Crews have installed new signage clearly marking trails and distances, which is great for first-time users.

The late snowfall gave crews plenty of time to complete much needed trail maintenance.

And although they are reporting a good 19 inch base, trail conditions aren't perfect just yet.

"The snow conditions actually right now is the snow is a little bit soft because it did come so quickly and so much of it, it's still a little bit soft.  But that's why we had people out here rolling during the actual storm so that we start to pack it so that you can set your poles," explained Nikki Dewald of the NTN.

Trails should be packed and tracks set by the weekend.
