MUNISING -- A Citgo gas station employee in Munising who claimed she was robbed of a night deposit bag as she was taking it to the bank has been found guilty of stealing the money herself.

A jury reached the verdict Tuesday night.  Marlena Dee Navarez was convicted of larceny in a building and filing a false police report.

Last January, Navarez told police she was robbed by a man wearing a snowmobile suit and helmet in a parking lot one block from the Citgo gas station.

Navarez faces up to four years in prison on the larceny charge and four years in prison for the false police report.

She'll be sentenced January 4.
