Free meal at Applebee's for Vets

This is in honor of Veteran's Day.

UPPER PENINSULA -- Wednesday is Veteran's Day, a day Americans honor the men and women who have, and are, serving our country.

In addition to many ceremonies across the area, a special thanks awaits veterans who are near an Applebee's.

The restaurant chain will give vets with a proof of service a free meal Wednesday.

This is both for veterans and active duty military.
