ISHPEMING -- You see them every holiday season, ringing their bells outside of stores and businesses.  But this year, the Ishpeming Salvation Army needs your help.

Their Red Kettle Campaign gets underway on Friday, and volunteers will be ringing bells for donations until December 24.

It's their biggest fund-raiser of the year, and right now only 82 slots are filled out of 540 needed.

"While we have paid people in the past to ring bells, we could certainly do that if we absolutely have to.  We're really looking to try and get as much volunteers to fill the slots as possible so that helps save funds for services and assistance throughout the year," said Captain Chris Marques.

The slots are two hours long from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and are needed for every day except Sunday.

All locations are allowing ringers to stand inside their front doors.

If you would like to volunteer, call the Ishpeming Salvation Army at (906) 486-8121.
