Missing hikers phone for help.

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- A cell phone signal helped to recover two Northern Michigan University students after being lost in the woods Saturday night.

The Marquette County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Unit was called to Hogsback Mountain near Wetmore Pond at 8:20 p.m.  The students, 20-year-old Andrew Brand of Antigo, Wisconsin and 22-year-old Rachel Stansbury of Romeo, Michigan were heading back to the parking lot when it became too dark to find the trail.

They called 911 and authorities were able to get a GPS location from the caller's cell phone.

Both students were found in good condition a short time later and brought back to the parking lot without incident.
