WATERSMEET TOWNSHIP -- According to the Gogebic County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a possible drowning on Clark Lake in Watersmeet Township at 4 p.m.

It was reported that a three-year-old boy was found in the lake and was unresponsive.

The child was transported to Eagle River Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation.
