Theatre summer camp teaches kids drama basics
MARQUETTE, MI -- The Drama and Dreams Summer Camp has been going on all week at the Peter White Public Library.
Special needs and non-special needs kids alike from across the area were invited to participate in the week-long drama camp. It's a great opportunity for them to learn the basics of theatre.
"Everyone who signed up came in, and we started working with them and figuring out what their strengths were and teaching them about drama and music and make-up and technical theatre. And now tonight they're going to be putting on a show," said Monica Nordeen, camp co-director.
"Come see our show!" the kids add.
The variety show takes the stage tonight at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Library. Admission is free, and everyone is invited.
