The Harley Owners Group have been raising money for the camp for 22 years.
BIG BAY -- It's become an annual tradition. For 22 years, members of the Harley Owners Group, or HOGs, have raised money for the Bay Cliff Health Camp by raffling off a brand new motorcycle and hosting a bike show.
"We're very proud that every penny we raise goes to Bay Cliff. It stays at Bay Cliff; we don't keep any of it and none of it goes anywhere else," said Joe Kerekes, Chairman of the Raffle Committee for the HOGs.
Tonight, more than 20 riders started up their hogs and hit the road to hand deliver the check. This year it was made out for $80,356 which will come in handy for a place funded solely on donations.
"Well this check is going to support the therapy and activities and the program for the children that are here in the summertime. That's the most important thing for us right now. These are really tough financial times and making sure that we're taking good care of the kids is our number one priority," said Camp Director Tim Bennett.
But this year's donation was a little more special than the others. The HOGs surpassed the one million dollar mark in donations, and it doesn't look like the giving trend will end anytime soon.
"It just makes you feel good. People should come up here and see this and then they would know," Kerekes said.
