Man injured in rollover accident

Driver fell asleep at the wheel.

ELM RIVER TOWNSHIP -- A Minnesota man was taken to Portage Health for injuries sustained in a rollover accident Sunday afternoon.

The Houghton County Sheriff's Office reports that 53-year-old Steven Carl Wuoti of Forest Lake, Minnesota, apparently fell asleep at the wheel and drove into a ditch, rolling his vehicle over twice.

The accident happened on M-26 in Elm River Township.

According to officials, alcohol was not a factor.
