Car/moose crash injures two, kills moose

Happened Sunday night close to Alberta

BARAGA COUNTY -- Two Upper Peninsula men are recovering after the car they were driving in hit a moose Sunday night.
    
The Michigan State Police report that the crash happened at around 10:30 p.m. on US-41, south of Alberta in Baraga County.
    
Jason Kutchie and Wayne Oien were in the vehicle, which hit the immature bull moose.  The men were taken to Baraga County Memorial for treatment.
    
The extent of their injuries was not released.
    
The moose was killed and removed by the Department of Natural Resources.
