A phone line has been severed in Chocolay Township.

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP -- State Police say some Chocolay Township residents are experiencing a phone outage Thursday night.  An AT&T line has been severed near US-41 and M-28.

The outage is expected to run well into the night.  A repair crew told police they hope to have it fixed by 2 a.m.

The outage is affecting residents in the Lakewood Lane-Riverside Drive area.  State Police say residents should use a cell phone if they need to call 911.
