Uncle Andy's Pet Wash offers dog owners a new way to clean their pup.
HOUGHTON -- The soap and rinse cycle at the car wash isn't just for your vehicle anymore. It's also a way to clean your pooch.
The Wash Depot on Sharon Avenue in Houghton installed Uncle Andy's Pet Wash in February, which offers a shampoo and rinse, along with skunk odor control and a disinfectant for fleas and ticks.
Eight dollars buys you ten minutes. So far around five pet owners are using it every day.
"You keep all the mess here. You don't bring it into your house and people like that. Usually the first time they're a little bit scared. They don't know what to expect. But the dogs that I see more than once; it's not usually a problem,' said owner Andy Lahti.
The wash also includes a dry cycle.
