The fire heavily damaged a recording studio behind the ABC Cabinetry warehouse.

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- Fire ripped through a building at Number 30, County Road 550 in Marquette Township Monday afternoon.  The fire broke out around 4:45 p.m. in building behind the Marzec Modernization warehouse, formerly ABC Cabinetry.

The building was being used as a recording studio and was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.  Firefighters from Marquette Township, Negaunee Township, and Chocolay Township responded to the scene.

Firefighters contained the blaze to the northwest side of that building.

The contents of the studio were not insured, and the loss is estimated at around $15,000.

There was one person inside the structure at the time of the fire who managed to get out safely.  No injuries have been reported.

There is no word on what caused the fire, but there will be an investigation Tuesday.
