Tip lead to search warrant
VULCAN -- A Vulcan man is in jail facing felony weapons charges after an early morning search of his home.
According to the Michigan State Police, a search warrant was issued after they received information that the man posed a potential risk to employees of a Norway business. The 48-year-old suspect is a former employee of the company, which police have not identified yet.
When they searched the home, authorities found multiple loaded weapons inside. He was taken into custody and remains lodged in the Dickinson County Jail.
The man's name is not being released pending arraignment.
The case has been turned over to the Dickinson County Prosecutor's Office.
Further investigation is being done by the Michigan State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
