MARQUETTE -- The City of Marquette is preparing for some big road projects next year.

Their construction plans for city water and sewer pipes total three million dollars.

At Tuesday morning's city commission work session, all the city departments presented their priorities for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.

With this new information, city commission will now make its own list of priorities for next year's budget.

"The next budget meeting we will actually crunch numbers, see what's available both in the general fund and the water, wastewater and storm sewer funds," said the Mayor John Kivela.

The city is expected to receive over a million dollars in federal stimulus money for water and sewer repairs.

The next budget meeting is scheduled for Thursday morning.
